Mangalore : The book release of Mangala Pathyapusthaka Malike and Pracharopanyasa Malike was held at Ravindrakala Bhavan, University College on August 6, Friday.
Speaking after releasing 11 text books on the occasion, litterateur Amrutha Someshwar, said that if the prasaranga, legislative and lecture function properly, university will reach at the top most position.
He also said that, the Kannada lecturers are working with trust and the books released, written by various lecturers of the particular field and this shows the dedication of the lecturers.
The outer cover of the book and the information found inside is beautifully written and the titles of the books are the examples in the life, he added.
Delivering the presidential address on the occasion, Prof T C Shivashankar Moorthy, vice chancellor, Mangalore University said that when a writer writes a book and it is given to library and the students, the information present in it needs to be disseminated, through prasaranga.
He also assured the University college management for implement more facility for the development of the Ravindrakala Bhavan from the fund to be released by the Mangalore University.
At present there are no authors found who can writes text for science subject in Kannada, hence if any author is interested, Mangalore University will encourage them to write in Kannada and Mangalore University will provide financial assistance for them for the research work, he added.
Prof Chinnappa Gowda, registrar, Mangalore University said that text books are not only for students, but is also for the lecturers.
Around 11 books like Chengadiru, Chendaliru, Dudinudi, Thembarenada, Paniyara, Padimancha, Pudhume, Patthaya, Kadiru and Kedhage.
