Mangaluru : A day after a muslim youth was attacked at Attavar by Hindu activist an Auto driver who was sitting in the parked auto stand in front of KMC Attavar was attacked with deadly weapons at around 10.45 pm on Wednesday August 26.

The Auto driver who was attacked is identified as Gurudatt aged 35 years and hails from Nandavara near Panemangaluru in Bantwal taluk.

Gurudatt happened come to KMC Attavar to see his cousins daughter who was admitted and delivered a girl child on Sunday.

Gurudatt stays at Jeppu Bappal with his cousin sister and during the weekend’s visits his native place at Nandavara where his parents reside.

His father Parameshwar as farmer. He has six brother and sisters and he is last.

Gurudatt has visited his niece at KMC at had returned to his auto and seated called up his friend on his mobile and was speaking to him. When three persons attacked with chopper and sickle and caused a deep cut above the wrist of the left hand. He was also sustained cut wonder on his shoulder and his back and he came out of his auto screaming, when the attackers flees from the spot by a bike.

Gurudatt ran inside the KMC hospital who was immediately admitted and received the treatment. Doctors treating Gudatt have stated that there is no danger to his life.

Gurudatt who gave statement to police has stated that he was attacked by three persons who are unknown to him.

It is said, a revenge was taken to the muslim youth was attacked on Tuesday. Pandeshwar Inspector Dinakar Shetty and other senior police officials visited to the spot.
