Puttur: One of the performing holy sports of DK district is in Ananthadi at Sri Ullalthi Temple where the annual appreciation festival was held on Thursday in great fervor by thousands of her devotes.
On Wednesday night the treasury of spirit goods with several titles arrived in a decorated palanquin at Buntrinja Mada where the Carnival flag was hoisted Thursday event.
On Thursday morning the celebrations of Ullalthi Amma took place. Devotes made several presentations of Jasmine flower rolls, Sarees cash and ornaments even cattle (cows and calves) to the lady.
Every woman participant in return gets Kum-Kum (red powder) and Jasmine flower as Prasadam (return offerings) from the goodess.
