Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh High Court has dismissed the bail petition of mining baron Janardhan Reddy who is behind bars in connection with mining irregularities.
It may be mentioned here that the CBI Special Court which was hearing into the case pertaining to Obalapuram mining company had granted bail to Reddy on May 11. However, the Andhra High Court had stayed the bail on May 23. On Wednesday the bail petition itself has been dismissed.
Meanwhile, the erstwhile CBI Special Judge Justice Pattabhiramarao was suspended on May 31 on the charges of receiving bribe to bail out Reddy. The Anti-Corruption Bureau is investigating this case.
The High Court while dismissing Reddy’s bail plea has however given him another opportunity to knock at the doors of the CBI Special Court for a bail.
