Mangalore: With regard to the recent accidental road death of Andrea Patrao (17) occurred at Urwa store on July 30, police have arrested bike rider Akash Shetty.,

Police had arrested Akash, history sheeter for accidents on August 1. Previously on August 21, 2010 Akash had overrun his Scorpio upon two workers waiting at a bus stop at Panambur, killing them, on the spot. After the incident Akash was sent to Bangalore and had returned to city recently.

According to Police Akash was he was riding bike in a rash manner hence he will be questioned. Although he took Andrea to a hospital he escaped immediately without anyone’s knowledge.

It is recalled that Andrea Patrao (17), first PU student of St Aloysius College, daughter of MCC Bank vice-president Alwyn Patrao, was a pillion rider in Akash’s bike.

The duo were moving towards Kulur and Akash had suddenly applied brakes, which made Andrea to fall on the road and she was overrun by the cement mixer truck moving behind them.
