Bangalore: The World Cup Cricket 2011 is facing trouble like CWG scams as the date (Feb27) draws near to hold match in Bangalore. Anil Kumble, President of KSCA is facing legal battle from a member Ramamurthy, under Karnataka Societies Registration Act, that Kumble’s election is flawed. Kumble has already clashed with City Police on Security matters around the Chinnaswamy Stadium, when the Kolkata ODI is given to Bangalore on its own quota of matches of the World Cup 2011 tournament. The petition of Ramamurthy has been blocked by a stay order from Justice B.V.Patel who has asked Kumble to raise objections in writing on the unforeseen controversy. Brijesh Patel who was secretary for a decade in KSCA had sent an amendment to the Act under which KSCA works, to make Kumble eligible for election without waiting for 2w years after his retirement. This amendment making a cricketer a member soon after his retirement had prompted Anil Kumble to retire from active cricket and become a mentor as Chairman of KSCA. The Registrar has to accept the new amendment on membership now.
