Mangaluru : The bail plea of Anil Lobo MCC Bank’s Chairman has been adjourned by a day for the order on the application filed by the Victim’s brother, and for objections to the main petition.

The Hon’ble III Additional District and Sessions Judge of Mangaluru passed the order today. Manohar Pereira (47), a resident of Ulaiyibettu village, tragically died by suicide on December 17, 2024. In a video recorded before his death, he alleged that Anil Lobo had misappropriated ₹9 lakh and held him responsible for his untimely demise.

Following this, an FIR was registered at the Mangaluru Rural Police Station on December 18, 2024. Anil Lobo was subsequently arrested and charged with abetment to suicide under Section 108 BNS.
