New Delhi: After a day’s fasting at Jantar Mantar on Sunday last, with yelling and milling, crowds at his beck and call the Anna Hazare and crore committee members meet on Wednesday (Dec 14) for 2 days, to chalk out future plans in Delhi, as a new Lokpal Bill is getting introduced in Loksabha with added powers to the national anti-corruption chief executive, call him Ombudsman/Lokpal or by any other name.
The “Crore” members are talking of a Ramlila Maidan agitation, as if they came here to fight out, and not to persuade lawmakers and rules to change their manners.
Hazare chairs the meeting that takes a final call on his own proposed indefinite fasting on Dec 27, if Lokpal bill is not passed into an Act by then.
Only discussions seem to take place, not action. The meeting will decide how the followers will face cold winter nights in open grounds and with or without Hazare, as his health is not quite strong at 75.
Anna Hazare has stepped up attacks on PM and would be PM, putting them in the line of fire Both Singh and R. Gandhi stand accused of escape from responsibility.
However, congress has pleaded with the new Mahatma (Hazare) to wait till the end of winter session (Dec 22) before registering his direct protests.
