Mangalore : The 3-day Beach Festival was inaugurated at Panambur Beach with the variety of folk dance performances from various states of country on March 17, Saturday.
The Beach Festival is being organized by the Ministry of Culture, South Central Cultural Centre, and DK Kannada District Administration.
The Beach Festival events will be held between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. daily and will conclude on March 19, Monday.
Over 75 folk artists across the country will participate in this festival.
During the festival, a folk artist team from Maharashtra will present Songi Mukhavate, in which the dancers wear masks. The Odisha team will present Shanka Vadana, Chaddayya Dance, and Ranappa Dance. The Andhra Pradesh team will present Veera Natyam, and the Haryana team will present Phag and Gumar dances and many other.
