Mangalore : The Annual Feast of St Antony will be held at St Antony’s Jacobite Syrian Cathedral, Jeppu on the Jan 24, 25 and 26.

Vicar Fr Philip Vaidyan speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Jan 23, Wednesday, said that on Thursday Jan 24, the meditation follows the evening prayer at 6pm. A retreat for couples will be there on Jan 25 morning from 9.30 am to 1 pm.

He also said that on the same day evening there will also be a meditation from 6 pm to 9 pm. On Jan 26,  Saturday the Holy Mass of Five Alters (Penta Mass) will begin at 8 am followed by the intercessory prayers to the Saints, traditional procession and the Feast ends with the offering lunch.

This year’s feast will be led by H G Zacharias Mor Philaxinose (Gregorian Centre, Thuthooty, Kottayam) and H G Yacob Mor Anthoniose (Honnavar Mission). The Choir of ‘Syrian Melodies’ will assist in th Holly Mass and the meditations.

Along with the Annual feast there will be the beneficiaries like distribution of houses to the poor, scholarship for the financial backward students and food offerings.

On the feast days, the devotees of Christ have an opportunity to participate in the chuch for the prayer and give the offerings to the Lord.
