Mangaluru: “Annual flower exhibition will be held from January 26 to 29, jointly by department of horticulture, district administration and ZP,” said Yogesh H R, Deputy Director of horticulture department.
In a press meet held at Kadri Park on Wednesday, ZP CEO Dr M R Ravi said that district on-charge Minister Ramanath Rai will be inaugurating the flower exhibition. The exhibition is open for all.
“Adults has to pay Rs 20 and children Rs 10 as the entry fees, this is to maintain the cost of the exhibition. Entry will be free for handicapped and senior citizens,” he said.
He further said that ‘Aharamela’, food mela will be the special attraction of this event. 25 stalls will be installed where the local food variety will be given more importance.
“Competitions have been organised for students and prize will be distributed on January 29. Meanwhile, ten women farmers will be felicitated on the occasion,” he added.
