Belthangady : Thousand of devotees take part in the annual Laksha Deepotsava at Dharmasthala Sri Manjunatheshwara Temple on the first day of the festival on Sunday December 6. A state level exhibition, at the high school premises, was also inaugurated on this occasion.
Asha Timmappa Gowda, president of Dakshina Kannada Zilla panchayat, inaugurated the exhibition, Speaking after the inauguration she said, we can see darken in lights. Youth is the invaluable wealth of this country and they should try to take the entire society on the path of development with them, she said.
Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala said, in the exhibition there are stalls of banks, business and various departments of the government and people should take advantage of this. There are also information about modern agricultural and technical aspects of agriculture, he said.

A Padayatra also organised in connection with the Laksha Deepotsava of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala. Vijaya Raghava Padvetnaya, Managing Trustee of the Ujire Shree Janardhana swami Temple was flagged off the Padayatra.
