Mangalore: The Annual sports meet, on St. Aloysius College grounds, for AIMIT was held last Friday(April 13), with an inaugural ceremony in the morning before the administrative Block at the city Campus.
Fr. Denzil Lobo, Director, AIMIT referred to sports and games as important in School/college life, to maintain a healthy mind in control of a healthy body, in younger days full of activity.
He spoke of Yogic exercises, designed to influence mind and body at peace and supple, while sharpening the intellect like a weapon for daily use.
Several final events in sports took place during the day at various locations in the campus. There were 4 houses and several games for students to join in, such as basketball, carom and table-tennis.
The valedictory session started at 6-30PM Dr. Oswald Mascarenhas of MBA department was chief guest who congratulated everyone who was either a player a faculty member or organised the multiple sports events on campus grounds.
