Bantwal : The annual “Vishwaroopa Darshan ‘ in the form of several thousands of earthen lamps was on view at Shree Venkataramana temple in the heart of the town. In the early hours of 4 to 6.30 am on Sunday.
The festival was in celebration of Hari jagarana and Kakada Arathi which have a special significance of piety among GSB Community. The entire surrounding of the temple were brightened up with rows and rows of lamps lighted by hundreds of devoted gathered at the temple premises in the early hours of a holiday morning.
The devotees later on were allowed to enter the temple and worship the deity in a blaze of lights. It is a unique site, as no other temple in the area had such a show of lamps in a large way.
The lights that appeared on the outskirts of the temple were in various shape like a lotus, a mace, a weal, a conch and weapons like trishula .
Sweets and Prasadam were distributed after the worship of God’s inside the temple.
