Bantwal: A cheat was caught by Vitla Police on Friday, March 30 for duping investors, by running a share brokerage agency that was closed in February last.

M. Anwar(28), the absconding share broker of JRG Solutions, claimed that he had sustained huge losses in business, had collected Rs1.40 crore from several people in the locality, only to disappear in February.

Saira, a resident of Kalladka lodged her complaint and set the police on the search. She lost Rs4 lacs given to him.

Abdul Kunhi of Ponnottu got a case registered against Anwar for a cheque that bounced from the broker, 10 months ago.

Anwar had set up his share business 3 years ago. Some investors gave him as much as Rs10-15 lacs. Anwar was injured in a road accident and was in hospital for 3 months. Later people demanded their Money back and he was terrified.

22 investors filed complaints against Anwar, and he is arrested for a fraud by Vitla police who presented him before a court, to cool his heels in jail at present.
