Bangalore: As the cows are worshipped by Hindus in large numbers all over India, not excluding Karnataka, they should be taken into consideration largely while framing the Bill against Cow Slaughter and protection of cows at large, said Anwar Manippady, the newly appointed chairman of minorities commission in state in city, today, speaking to reporters from his office in Vishvesvaraya Towers opposite Coffee Board. As the new chairman, he promised to keep the sentiments of the majority Hindus in focus, while taking decisions on Muslims and Christians etc, he added.
Anwar pointed out that Article 48 of the Constitution had the considered view point in writing, of banning Cow Slaughter in Indian society which had 85% Hindus in it, in reply to a specific question raised by reporters. He said he was writing a book on Cattle Wealth and National Economic Growth and this book would be published in English and Kannada, by a prestigious publishing company, soon. Those who read the book will have much respect for cattle in India.
