Mangaluru: Tulu cinema producers, directors, artists and others staged protests in front of Prabhat Cinema Theater here in Mangaluru city to condemn the move of the owner of the movie hall to stop screening of Tulu movie to screen a Telugu movie.

Tulu movie producers staged protests after owner of Prabhat Cinema Theater had planned to screen Telugu movie Spyder even if Tulu movie, ‘Are Marler’ has been running successfully for the past 5 to 6 weeks in the city. The theater owner is reportedly a distributer of Telugu movies in the city, however following the protests he agreed to continue to screen Tulu movie in his movie hall.

Tulu cine artists, Devadas Kapikad, Arjun Kapikad, Kishore D Shetty and others were present in the protests organised.
