Mangaluru: A mumbai passenger robbed in Netravati express by Armed robbers and lost over four kgs gold near Surthkal on September 18, Monday.

Rajendra Singh who was working for a jewellery company in Mumbai was travelling in the sleeper class S-7, his suitcase containing gold bangles was taken away after thieves came brandishing a knife and pistol.

As per the complaint filed by Singh the hindi speaking robbers boarded the train at Suratkal and threatened him with a gun and knife. They then escaped with the suitcase containing the ornaments as the train resumed. Singh suffered a few injuries.

A Case has been registered at Padubidri Police station.
