Mangaluru : Rationalist Narendra Nayak has said that the police should arrest all those involved, indirectly or directly, in the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga.
Mr. Nayak, who led the protest demanding speedy investigation into the case, said that he and other activists had worked with the police to make it difficult for Naresh Shenoy, the prime accused in the murder, to evade arrest.
“He could sustain this long only because of some well-connected persons,” he said. Mr. Nayak said that the police would arrest all those who helped Shenoy evade arrest. Mr. Nayak said that he was yet to fully study the several RTI applications filed by Baliga.
“I would like to personally pursue some of prime applications filed by Baliga and take it to logical conclusion.” Baliga had meticulously preserved each of application he has filed, Mr. Nayak said.
Ganesh Baliga, a close friend of Vinayak Baliga, said that he would pursue the civil suit filed by his friend seeking framing of a new scheme for administration for Venkataramana Temple. In the suit, Vinayak Baliga had asked the local court to look into alleged financial irregularities in the temple.
“I am the co-petitioner in this case and I will pursue it further.”
