Udupi: “Congress is protecting the anti-national sloganeering issue culprits. Those who have shouted slogans against India and Army should be arrested immediately,” said Udupi district BJP President Mattaru Rathnakar Hegde.
In a protest against the lathi charge on ABVP members at Bengaluru and demanding arrest of those who have involved in shouting ainti-national slogans, on Wednesday he said that police lathi charged on those students who were shouting nationalistic slogans and those who have shouted anti-national slogans are living freely.
“The organiser at Amnesty International had the intention of indulging the youth in anti-national activities. They were glorifying Afzal Guru in that particular programme, and trying to project Indian Army as if a bad army,” he said.
He further said that Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar is defending the Amnesty International openly and the government is trying to oppress the voice of ABVP members by assaulting on them.
Commenting on Ramya’s statement he said that she should apologise with the people of India.
“Let he go to Pakistan,” he added.
BJP leaders Baikady Suprasad Shetty, Dinakar Babu, Shyamal Kundar, Uday Kumar Shetty, Ranjith Salian and others were present.
