Bangalore: Sources have revealed that the interrogation of the 11 supected Indian Mujahedeen members arrested by the police on Wednesday, has revealed that they had several prominent Hindu leaders like Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat, Pramod Mutalik and Jagadish Karanth on their hit list.It has also been learnt that they had targeted the India-New Zealand match which is presently underway at Chinnaswamy stadium and the plan was to attack either on third or fourth day. They, it is learnt, had even booked 16 tickets through online booking.
They had also planned to target, senior journalist Vishweshwar Bhat who is editor of Kannada Prabha and Suvara TV, Pratap Simha, columnist in Kannada Prabha and Vijaya Sankeshwar, chief of Vijayavahini, apart from Prahlad Joshi, an RSS and BJP leader.
Rahman Siddiqui who worked for Deccan Herald was one among those arrested. Others include Shoiab, a scientist in DRO and Ejaz, an MCA student.
According to home minister all the arrested were highly qualified and had undergone training for at least a year in some Gulf country.
