Udupi: A I PUC Student of MGM College was critically injured in a tragic road mishap at Kinnimulki on the NH 66 on Thursday evening has been declared brain dead at the KMC Hospital at Manipal on June 17, Saturday morning.

Ashmita Suvarna, resident of Ambalpady was knocked down by speeding Swift D’Zire car bearing New Delhi registration number when waiting on a divider to cross the road in Kinnimulky on Thursday.

Ashmitha parents took a decision and donated her eyes.

She was a student of St Cecily’s and had secured 96% in the recent SSLC exams. She aspired to be a lawyer despite her choosing the science stream as per her parent’s wish.
