Mangalore: Pandit Rao hailing from Shirshak Salutigi in Indi talk of Bijapur district, is on a mission of raising funds for the Endosulfan victims of the coastal district. He will be on his cycle jatha in Mangalore and its vicinity for two days beginning on December 28, Friday.
Pandit Rao who handed over a cheque for Rs 10,000 towards the relief of Endosulfan victims, to the DC , will be donating another Rs 5000 towards the Endo relief fund of TV9. Rao who is an assistant professor in Chandigarh Government Polytechnic, has already raised Rs 18000 by selling books which he has written in Punjabi language and had donated the amount to Endosulfan relief fund.
He has a regret that the people of the state were not coming to the aid of Endosulfan victims and adds the problem of the victims can be solved to some extent if people too come forward to help along with the government.
He says he came to know of the problems of the Endosulfan victims through internet. He will be leaving for Kokkada tomorrow.
