Gowda continued to tell the opening meet that UNO reported an annual death of 24 lakhs of citizens, due to Urban weather pollution. The global heat also was rising with arctic ice loads melting.
Under such adverse condition, everyone had a duty to conserve ecology. He spoke also on water pollution and drainage problems.
