Mangalore: YB Ramakrishna, Managing Director of the State Bio-Fuel Development Board has said the Zilla Panchayats should form action plans with the help of a core committee comprising of officials from various departments to harness resources for bio-fuel generation.
He was speaking at a bio-fuel progress review meet held at the ZP hall on December 29.Ramakrishna also stressed the need to create an awareness among farming community on the usefulness of bio-fuel.He said bio-fuel development programmes will be mandatory from next year onwards.
Dr KN Vijayaprakash, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Office, presented a report on the progress registered in the field.
Seetamma, Project Director, Attihalli Devaraj, Member of State Bio-Fuel Development Board, were also present.
