Mangalore : Ayudha Pooja was celebrated with gaiety on Mahanavami, the ninth day of Navaratri on October 13, Sunday. People worshipped all tools and implements and their vehicles on this day.

Vehicles were seen decked up with flowers. Various institutions and business establishments too celebrated the festival. Special prayers and poojas were also held in the day and people participated in the celebrations with festive fervour.
