Manipal: Young Blanche D’Souza(20), a second-year BBM student of MPM College here, caught while copying for her answers in the exam hall on Thursday morning, hanged herself in shame with a salwar round her neck on Friday morning at her house, but not before the Principal calling her sister out of an exam hall without her a chance to face her written exams.

Carol was caught red-handed by invigilators, while writing from her hidden notes. The principal later called her for interrogation and sent her home. Her sister Brayal was informed about her betrayal, and both missed their exams.

Parents of the two girls were in a foreign country. Carol, according to her sister, was active in sports, and her Co-students described her as a brave girl.

She had failed in 2 subjects in the first year (BBM Course) and was attending to both exams in one sitting, so to say.

Those who heard of Carol untimely death said, it was  shocking news.
