Mangaluru :  The state government should form development authority for the Tulu and Kodava languages Congress leader and MLC B K Hariprasad said on Friday November 27.

Speaking in a press meet held at district Congress Office, he said, the BJP government’s decisions on the formation of the Maratha Development Authority and including Veerashaiva-Lingayat in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) list as a joke and political suicide, Hariprasad said.

Tulu and Kodava language people have contributed to the development of the state. Thus, the state government should form development authorities for these two languages, he said.

He urged chief minister B S Yediyurappa and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide reservations on the basis of population and not the basis of caste.

Corporater Mohammed Ravoof, Congress  district president Harish Kumar and others were present.
