Delhi: Baba Ramdev, in a past midnight attack by Delhi Police, unknown to Sonia Gandhi as confessed by her, was banished in a BSF chopper to his Ashram on the banks of Ganga at Haridwar on Sunday morning. 40 people were injured in the melee when Delhi police used tear-gas shells and lathis (fat canes) to beat and drive away some ten thousand followers of Baba sleeping in the large pandal.

The past midnight mysterious attack by a rowdy Delhi police force cleared the entire pandal before dawn on Sunday (May5) and looked out for Baba Ramdev who escaped leaving his saffron dresses, and wearing white clothes covering his beard, leaning on two girls like a new Gandhi, but was caught by the police when he refused ambulance brought by them to take him (pretending to be an injured woman) and was caught when he was revealed.

After more than 8 hours, a waiting BSF helicopter carried him out of Delhi to Haridwar at 10 am.
The Supreme Court, having been told about the police attack and pandemonium in the in the pandal at 2am in the night in Ramlila grounds (described by BJP as Ravanalila in Delhi as law and order had broken down), issued a notice to explain the events.

PM Singh, however, has kept mum, and Sonia has distanced herself from the midnight mischief in Ramlila grounds where Section.144 was declared and the pandal looked devastated with garbage to clear. Sonia has asked who was responsible for the holocaust, and who ordered further proceedings.

From Congress only Digwijay Singh (Who called Ramdev a Thug) and Kapil Sibal (who put on the role of denying Congress had any hand in driving Baba out.) Baba cannot enter Delhi for another 15 days by police orders. Hazare, in the meantime, reached Delhi when Baba was carried away to his Ashram by a chopper. Hazare has resumed his own fast in New Delhi just as Ramdev continued his fasting in Haridwar. All leaders except Medha Patkar, have blamed Congress for its indiscretion and thirst for power over rebels. Congress has emerged as the larger crook in the political game to continue graft and hold black money.
