Mangaluru : The DK District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Mangaluru City Corporation and Social Welfare Department jointly organised 126th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar at Town Hall on April 14 Friday.

District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai said that, Ambedkar had inspired the Dalit Buddhist Movement and campaigned against social discrimination against “untouchables”. To commemorate the memory of the reformer and his contributions, we should remember him.

Keerthi Kumari, Dr Ashalatha P, Shailesh Kotian, Umesh K and Sanjeev Sooterpete were felicitated.
