Union minister DV Sadananda Gowda and Karnataka minister Shashikala Jolle, among others, watched the event along with Bedi and Kalladka Bhat, who runs the institution.

Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police BM Laxmi Prasad told TOI that the case has been booked under two IPC Sections: 295 (a) (deliberate act to outrage religious feelings) and 298 (uttering words that wound religious feelings).
