Hyderabad: It is a sad day, a bad day too, for former Bellary mine King and MLA (ex-minister) Gali Janardhan Reddy on Friday (Dec 30)m when his appeal for bail from Chanchalguda prison to the Hyderabad Nampally special CBI court, was summarily dismissed.
Reddy wanted an interim bail to perform memorial rites of his dead mother as on Dec 31, 2011 on the last day of the year, but he is held in Andhra Jail for illegal mining and other conspiracies with ex-cm of Andhra (S. Rajashekhar Reddy who is no more).
The special court had conducted an enquiry in his case, when CBI prosecutor objected to release Reddy even on compassionate grounds, for a religious ritual in his mother’s name.
But the special CBI court refused to listen to Reddy’s plea and went according to pro-CBI demands, against an interim bail. This must have disappointed even a Sriramulu (MLA) who was drumming about GJ Reddy’s bail in near future.
