Mangaluru: Bajrang Dal activists stopped a tempo that was illegally transporting buffaloes near Kottara Chowki  on Sunday, June 14.

As many as four buffaloes were being illegally transported in the tempo from Jokatte to Kudroli slaughter house in Mangaluru.

It is said, the vehicle was loaded with four buffaloes. A Abdul Rahman on his tempo taken four buffaloes from his home early Sunday morning and transporting it them to the slaughterhouse in Mangalore.

The Bajrang Dal rescued all the four buffaloes and handed over the driver of the tempo to the police.

In the police investigation Rahman said, he had recently bought ten cattle including the buffaloes from the agricultural market at Ranebennur in Haveri district. He had sold six among them and the remaining were with him.
