Mangaluru : Bajrangdal activists tried to picket the residence of Congress leader Ivan D’Souza in the city  on October 20, Wednesday.

In a statement Ivan D’Souza had accused Bajrangdal activists were resorting to unethical works wearing saffron clothes and that they were extortionists,

The Mangaluru South (Pandeshwar) police who rushed to the spot, foiled the attempt of the activists. As many as eight Bajrangdal activists were detained by the police.

Ivan was not at home during the incident as he presently is in Hanagal of Haveri district, busy campaiging for the bye-elections.
