Mangalore: Eid-Ul-Adha also known as Bakrid will be celebrated across coastal districts and Malnad region on October 26.  Bakrid falls on the tenth day of Dhul Hijjah month as per the Islamic calendar.

This also marks the month of Hajj and is celebrated by Muslim brethren across the world with religious fervor. The festival is being celebrated in other parts of the nation on October 27.

Special Namaz is being held in several mosques and Idgahs across the district.
