Mangalore : The Dakshina Kannada district administration will organize four day State Level ‘Bala Shrujanotsava’ at Pilikula Nisarga Dhama from January 22, 2012 to January 25, 2012.
Speaking at the press meet Bala Bhavana president Sulochana G K Bhat said that the event will aim to show the cultural and tradition of different state to the children of Dakshina Kannada and provide an opportunity for the children mingle and learn the creativity and talent from other children.
She also said that 15 little achievers and multi talented students and two supervisors each from 73 Bal Bhavan from various state with the age limit of 10 to 16 years will participate in the event.
Around 2500 to 3000 children from Dakshina Kannada will also participate in the event. The accommodation facilities for the participants of the four day event will be done in 14 schools located near the Vamanjoor area will be done.
To make the event successful around ten committees have been formed including welcomed committee, procession committee, accommodation committee, food committee, transport committee, children safety and health committee, cultural activities committee, financial committee and exhibition committees under the guidance of DC Channappa Gowda. Other sub committees will also be formed in the coming meetings, she said.
The teachers knowing English and Hindi will be appointed in the duty while the scouts and guides and Home guard help will be sought for the safety of the children. A team of doctors along with Ambulance service will lso be provided for children.
The event will start with the procession held on January 22 at 3.30 pm and the stage programme will start at 5.30 pm. All the MLA’s and MP and other leaders will participate in the programme. The stage programme will follow with the cultural activities.
On the second day, the children will be formed in the groups and Gopadkar will participate as the resource person to teach the memory games and activities to them. On the third day the children will be taken to Panambur beach and spend time from 3 pm to 8 pm learning kite making and sand art from Team Mangalorean and others.
On the fourth day the valedictory function will be organized in which the art crafts made by children will be displayed and the prize distribution ceremony will be held, she added.
