Mangaluru: RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder prime accused Naresh Shenoy will remain in judicial custody till July 11 said the third judicial magistrate first class court on Saturday, July 3.
Previously Shenoy was under police custody from the day he was arrested that is from June 26. He was arrested at Hejamady near Udupi and sent to the police custody. After that on request of investigating officer K Tilakchandra, ACP, Mangaluru central sub-division Shenoy was again sent to police custody till July 2.
Sanjeev M Patil, deputy commissioner of police (crime and traffic) said that the police may request the court again for the police custody of the accused, if police found any fresh lead in the case during investigation.
He also said that police have requested the court to not to grant bail to Shenoy as it may ihibit the course of investigation.
