Mangalore : A ‘Preservation of Historical Culture’ programme held at Shreemanthi Bai Memorial Government Museum, Bejai on Wednesday, September 11
Department of History of Government Women’s First Grade College, Balmatta and Karnataka Itihasa Academy, Bangalore organised the programme .
Delivering the speech, Ananth Raja Indra of Karnataka Itihasa Academy said that the historical articles must be preserved so that upcoming generations will avail benefit from it.
He also said that Government must take keen interest on such kind of museum, renovate it and maintain it so that it can be used for years by the students for improving their general knowledge.
Shaila K N, assistant professor of the college said that the Shreemanthi Bai Memorial Government Museum has rich cultural heritage and the government must take every step to preserve it.
Students from Arts department submitted the paper presentation on the occasion.
College principal U Tara Rao, assistant professor Mohit Suvarna and others were present.
