Pune: Qateel Mohammad Jaffer Siddiqui, an accused in the Bangalore blast case and also in the German Bakery blast case who was lodged in the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune was strangulated to death reportedly by other inmates in the jail. Siddiqui is a suspected Indian Mujahedeen militant and has been named accused in several terror cases.

Surprisingly, he was killed in a high security jail. Senior officials of the Maharashtra ATS are in Pune to investigate the case.
