Mangalore : Mystery shrouds the death of a young woman who was assistant manager in Katipalla branch of Syndicate Bank. Anjana who was found unconscious in the house of her male friend at Bejai Kapikad late night on April 17, Wednesday, later succumbed in the hospital.

It is suspected that she was having an affair with one Mahesh who was working in a fish food joint at Big Bazar in Mangalore and used to often visit his house at Bejai Kapikad. The house was rented out to one Ravi by owner Dolphy D’Souza and Mahesh who was Ravi’s friend used to also stay in the house.

It is said both Anjana and Mahesh used to move around , visit malls and other places. Though the exact cause of the murder is not known, it is suspected that dispute between  the two culminated in the murder of Anjana, a meritorious student who joined work in the bank just eight months ago.

Mahesh missing ever since Anjana was found dead, has further substantiated doubts that he was behind the killing.

Police are presently on the look out for Mahesh.
