Mangalore: The siren of the Valencia branch of the Canara Bank  which began to blare all of a sudden on Friday night, made people rush towards the bank sensing danger-that some burglars might have entered th bank.

There were several anxious faces and soon bank officials and policemen arrived at the spot, opened the gates and went inside. But soon they returned empty handed and it later came to light that some technical glitch led to the siren going off all of a sudden.
