Bantwal : Two youths were killed after the two motorbikes they were riding met with a head-on collision near Kodaje, under Vittal police station limits, on Wednesday evening.

According to police, Parikshith, 19, a resident of Baranikere and Azmal, 21, a resident of Goltamajalu, were killed in the accident. The accident took place around 7pm, when Parikshith was moving towards Kodaje while Azmal was going to Mani. On reaching near a curve at Kodaje, they met with a head-on collision, when one of the riders tried to avoid a dog which was on the road. The victims were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to their injuries. Padmanabha, 30, who was riding pillion, is being treated at Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru.

A case has been registered at Vittal police station.
