Bantwal : A protest was staged by over 40  like minded organizations under the aegis of the Bantwal Taluk Samajika Nyayapara Horata Samithi  urging for action against the Saraswathi Nursing Home at Bantwal where Sarapady GP Vice President  Shakuntala recently died  due to  non-availability of timely treatment during delivery.

A procession was also taken out from Polali Temple till the taluk office.

Former MLA Padmanabha Kottari, Rukmaiah Poojary, ZP Member Mamatha Gatti and other spoke and demanded action  against the hospital

Samithi President Lokesh Shanthi presided over the meeting.

The agitators demanded compensation to the family of the GP Vice President and action against the hospital.

Dr Manjunath, Taluk Health Officer who spoke on the occasion, assured to raise the matter at the  district level Arogya Raksha meet. He also assured a full fled Gynaecology ward at the Government Hospital under construction inBantwal.
