Bantwal : Bantwal Rural police led by SI Nagaraj and Vittal in-charge SI Sanjeeva Tallur have arrested two persons including the prime accused in the case of alleged abduction of a 15 year old girl from Nadayi in Sarapady village.

The police arrested Ashok (32) of Bijjaragi in Bijapur district and Ravi alias Narasimha (40) near the Bijapur bus stand on June 9, Monday morning. They have been produced before the Bantwal Magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.

A student 15 year old girl, tenth standard student of Navoor Government High School and daughter of late Jayanth Poojari was missing since March 17. It is learnt that, her aunt Savitha taken her in a car to purchase a new pair of slippers.

Savitha and Basavaraju uncle of Ashok have already arrested in the case.

The girl was later traced at Athani Kompala in Belgaum and is right now in remand home.
