Mangalore: Navya R Shetty, a student of the SVS English Medium School of Vidyagiri in Bantwal has made her home district proud. She is the topper in the SSLC examination of 2011-12 the results of which were announced on May 17, Wednesday; Navya has scored 623 out of the total 625 marks.

She is the daughter of Ratnaker Shetty, a Lecturer in Commerce at Government College, Malleshwaram, Bangalore and Prabha Shetty and hails from Hebri in Udupi.

Ramya who has   scored cent per cent in all subjects except Hindi and English, aims at becoming a professor after pursuing her engineering.
