Bangalore: The Lokayukta special court will deliver a judgment on January 30 to issue summons to ex-CM Yeddyurappa or not, in regard to the 4th private complaint filed by lawyer Sirajin Basha on land denotification during his rule as CM.
After listening to arguments in the court for and against the suit, special judge N.K. Sudheendra Rao postponed his decision to January 30, Monday(which is Martyrs’ day too).
The main question related to transfer of lands to another after sanctioning the land in one name.
When Krishnaiah Shetty proposed to denotify the lands, CM Yeddyurppa then, had issued the order, which proved misuse of official power by CM.
Therefore, summons to the accused was proper in the cases, and Basha’s lawyer asked the court to do so. The accused included Prakash Shetty who funded Dhawlgiri Properties of Yeddy’s sons, B.R. Shetty on 11 acres in Sri Rampura of which 2 acres were transferred to Bestow Company related to Yeddy’s sons, and MLC Bharathi Shetty and MP, BY Raghavendra, for land sites given to them.
Summons to other parties on Basha’s first complaint for enquiry, was also postponed by Lokayukta Judge, to next Monday, January 16.
