Mangalore: The Congress Minority Cell(Muslims only) chief Moidin Bawa, called the Uppinangady event on Sunday, January 22 of a Samajotsava, as a political election drama created by RSS, and condemned the provocative speech made by RSS local supreme, Dr. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhatt, against DK Muslims in the name of Love Jihad and terrorist activities.

Bawa charged that Bhatt used “Obscene Words” against Muslims and Christians alike, accusing them of spreading anarchy. He asked whether those in BJP from minority societies fit such a description.

He noted that an FIR was registered against Bhatt, but the latter should be arrested, Bawa demanded in a press meet on Monday, held only to condemn Hindu leaders who almost sparked a riot in Puttur taluk. He recalled that Puttur SP had assured him and Ramanth Rai last week that no provocative speeches would be made at what was only a festival and no loud speakers would be used.

Such precipitating incidents as Bhatt is used to, can harm society greatly, Bawa warned. Many innocents could suffer when riots break out. We need to unite for establishing peace around us, he appealed to one and all. Youth leader Mithun Rai and Ashraf were present.
