Mangaluru :  Police have arrested a 24-year-old youth for allegedly snatching a gold chain from a teacher at Surathkal.

The arrested is K S Shreyas, a resident of Durgabettu, Shanthipura Koppa, Chikkamagaluru district,

The teacher who works at Vidhyaadayinee High School in Surathkal was coming from her residence to the school. The incident took place at an underpass near the school.

Acting on tip off, Surathkal police arrested K S Shreyas, from Honda showroom at Surathkal.

It is said that the youth did his BCA from Govind Dasa College and is currently unemployed.
