Mangaluru: A Bhajaranga Dal activist is reportedly missing from the police custody. Family members have decided to file habeas corpus writ in Bantwal court soon.
Tulsidas (30), resident of Kolambe is the missing person. He was active in Ullal Bharanga Dal unit and he was handling an accountable post in the unit.
Police had taken him into custody as he had many cases registered against him, such as stopping illegal cattle trafficking by force, Mudipu College your cancellation row and many. Police were targeting him for disruption of the peace in the Ullal region.
He was taken to custody in assault case of Nawaz and Sameer which took place at Manjanady. The incident took place after the attack on RSS activist Rammohan. Police released Tulsidas after not finding his involvement in the case.
Day after his release, again police took him to custody from his home and from that time the family members couldn’t reach him. His phone was switched off and when the family members approached CCB police and police officials, they couldn’t found him.
A case has been registered at Konaje police station and the family members are preparing to file habeas corpus writ in the court.
