Mangalore :  As part of the Karavali Utsav 2012-13, a three day Beach Utsav will be held at Panambur beach on January 25,26 and 27, informed Assistant Commissioner Venkatesh.

Speaking to reporters in Mangalore on January 22, Tuesday, he said  as part of the Utsav there will be various events including country boat contest, swimming contest, kite show by Team Mangalore, sand sculpture contest. There will also be skating contest, chende show, boating, and aquatic sports events.

A variety of cultural programmes will also be organised. There will also be a food festival at the beach wherein  food stalls will serve a variety of coastal delicacies.

The Beach  Festival and Food Festival will be inaugurated at 4 pm on January 25, he informed and added there would be a   kite show  on  all the three days.

The Beach Fest will draw to a close with a musical treat by the famous Euphoria team, the Assistant Commissioner informed.
